Julia Balfour is an abstract painter who uses form as a trace of her experiences that are influenced by color. The edges of these paintings end abruptly as if seen through a window. A white border frames blocky, blue-black overlapping shapes atop a neutral, light beige background. The overall effect is a study in modern monochrome.

Pictures are nice, just like the website but have to take off one star because they were so poorly made. They glued the back with a piece of brown paper and glue was all over the frame. The entire back was so sticky I had to put scotch tape all around to prevent it from peeling off the paint of my wall. Definitely not worth $300 for the quality or workmanship.. Carol.
