Ericka Wolf is an encaustic and oil artist working in Seattle, Washington. In Ericka's current work, she's creating skies with a serenity that she has seen and felt before, and that she tries to imagine during bleak winter months in Seattle. When the state of the world itself seems bleak, she finds a quiet slowness by contemplating the sky and the broad juxtaposing of color that can exist in myriad ways. It's a calming opposite to our overstimulated culture: chaotic events and unending social media. For Ericka, the sky seems like the perfect metaphor for life-expansiveness, even though at the times dark or dangerous, ultimately beautiful in all of its vibrancy and impermanence.

Pictures are nice, just like the website but have to take off one star because they were so poorly made. They glued the back with a piece of brown paper and glue was all over the frame. The entire back was so sticky I had to put scotch tape all around to prevent it from peeling off the paint of my wall. Definitely not worth $300 for the quality or workmanship.. Carol.
