These are wonderful gauged Slate. I ordered two. Both were packed in thick but flexible rigid Urethane foam sheets. Both were broken. Replacements arrived in the same packing, and again, only creases in the boxes, both shattered.

I love this tile so much. We're renovating our house and did the fireplace but ourselves. It is VERY thick though so I had to rent an industrial tile cutter. Still awesome though!
