The precision cut letters carved into the clock face are only 2mm in width. The new hybrid number-line fonts, which don’t look like numbers at a glance, give a sharp and clean impression that is both unique and transformative as a design object of time when paying close attention. Part of the internationally acclaimed designer Oki Sato's first series of design timepieces, Divide uses mathmetic concept other than numbers to tell time. The number of divisions within a single straight line is used to tell the time. The design expresses the idea of time gradually ticking away throughout the course of a day. The designs were created with the intention of allowing the user to experience the passage of time in a stylish and conceptual way.
