This rug is very thin and more of a woven quilt-like feel. We’re using this in a low traffic area where we typically don’t wear shoes — I’d recommend similar placement and definitely not for a high traffic area. It has a nice feel though, and we’re excited to have our comfy reading chair and bean bag arrive to make this into a reading nook where this rug will work great. TIP Definitely order a slip-free rug pad as it’s slippery on a wood floor without — running kids would definitely lose traction if this were a runner. Additionally, I’d recommend buying some peel and stick Velcro (the hook side) to adhere to the rug pad at the corners of the rug — that’ll help keep it from flipping up at the edges and becoming a trip hazard. This is great value for the price. It is a nice creamy off white and charcoal color. The charcoal is NOT blue or purple undertone. It looks great next to my dark brown couch and cream chairs. The shag is not too high. And the tassels are my favourite part. It looks like it has a bold pattern but it’s a bit more subtle in real since the grey lines are not solid lines.
