This is a very beautiful table in person, but the listing misrepresents what it looks like in real life. The color of the oak is much warmer in person, and has more knots in it, which is not ideal. We LOVE this table!!! I also waited and hesitated like several others but finally ordered it. Took a cple weeks to get but well worth the wait. It does have openings in the wood here and there, it is definitely not completely smooth but that’s ok with us. Goes perfect with our boho farmhouse style but would go with any style. Been looking for a real wood table (not mdf) with solid countertop. This is a very elegant solid made table. There are 3 metal parts where the countertop screws into and one is dented so we did not install the top yet because it is heavy and may wobble. The countertop needs to be sealed, or order a thick pvc table covering. Attached are photos of one of the metal part that is dented and one that is not. It is also higher than normal table height. It is 31 inches not 30. Thought it won't make that big a difference but it does. This table may not be ideal for younger kids, unless you have higher seated chairs.
