The bed looks exactly how I thought it would look and I love the look. The feel of the wood is a bit rougher than expected but definitely solid wood, which I wanted. There was some damage on the frame from the installers or already there before it was put together. Didn’t inspect each piece as it came out of the box but inspected the bed when it was put together and saw the crack. Happy with my purchase but would like some answers about the crack.. Wendy. Beautiful and very solid bed, but disappointing quality considering the price. The first bed came with what I assume was a manufacturing defect - the groove in the headboard was too shallow for the side plank to sit in. AllModern promptly sent me a replacement which was much worse than the first bed. The headboard had several blemishes, and the alternating pattern of the headboard (which is not noticeable at all in the product photos) was even more pronounced than the first bed.
