I was looking for a solid wood coffee table that had bottom shelving. The plan was to fill it with books and I did! It's a coffee table bookshelf - LOL! I had an amazing experience with All Modern (not so much with their sister company Wayfair). I will rearrange the books some but the plan is to keep this thing filled with books and drink coasters; this is my reading living room. :) You can buy the stain finish online to refinish it every year or so. Relatively happy with this purchase. As others have mentioned it's two pieces and the top is extremely heavy. The whole thing weighs like 175 pounds and most of that is in the table top so putting it together with two people is probably a good idea. The reason for the 4 stars is that it doesn't look as nice as it does in the photos. Specifically I wanted to get concrete because I wanted a piece that's obviously concrete and shows imperfections to get an industrial/brutalist look. The finish is like a solid gray color that could easily mistaken for painted wood. I actually ended up sanding off some of the finish to get more of the imperfections to show, there's a lighter rougher look when I did that which I think looks better. Sanding probably makes it more susceptible to damage if something spills but I think it was worth it. Not dissatisfied per se, but it looks very different than what the images are on the website and I probably would have bought something else had I known.
