This rug is very thin and more of a woven quilt-like feel. We’re using this in a low traffic area where we typically don’t wear shoes — I’d recommend similar placement and definitely not for a high traffic area. It has a nice feel though, and we’re excited to have our comfy reading chair and bean bag arrive to make this into a reading nook where this rug will work great. TIP Definitely order a slip-free rug pad as it’s slippery on a wood floor without — running kids would definitely lose traction if this were a runner. Additionally, I’d recommend buying some peel and stick Velcro (the hook side) to adhere to the rug pad at the corners of the rug — that’ll help keep it from flipping up at the edges and becoming a trip hazard. Love the pattern and tassels on the rug, but the quality of the rug weave is definitely below par. If this rug lasts us 6 months we'll be lucky- the pile is thick and completely pulls out of the rug easily. It’s a great looking rug, and I’m very happy with it for the price. I needed a rug that can handle kids dropping food every morning at breakfast and since this is technically an outdoor rug, it’s perfect. It vacuums easily. The color is true as described. The only negative is that it’s pretty thin and came rolled up tight. I can’t seem to get the roll lines out of it and the pic is after a month. I love the rug though!. Jennifer.
