This rug is very thin and more of a woven quilt-like feel. We’re using this in a low traffic area where we typically don’t wear shoes — I’d recommend similar placement and definitely not for a high traffic area. It has a nice feel though, and we’re excited to have our comfy reading chair and bean bag arrive to make this into a reading nook where this rug will work great. TIP Definitely order a slip-free rug pad as it’s slippery on a wood floor without — running kids would definitely lose traction if this were a runner. Additionally, I’d recommend buying some peel and stick Velcro (the hook side) to adhere to the rug pad at the corners of the rug — that’ll help keep it from flipping up at the edges and becoming a trip hazard. Great rug at such an affordable price on sale (9x12 for $435). The 'white/beige' in the rug is definitely yellow-creamy - the color of real mayo or frozen breastmilk :). There are also a tiny bit of taupes in the rug too. It really works with a modern decor. I would NOT call this rug "beige" like it says in the title.
