We LOVE this table!!! I also waited and hesitated like several others but finally ordered it. Took a cple weeks to get but well worth the wait. It does have openings in the wood here and there, it is definitely not completely smooth but that’s ok with us. Goes perfect with our boho farmhouse style but would go with any style. Gorgeous and very sturdy table once put together. Instructions to assemble are sort of unclear on a lot of aspects and I’m usually a person that can put literally anything together but this gave me a little scratch on the head nevertheless still got it done in under an hour. Also in combination with the bad assembly instructions what contributed to me giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the table arrived a little dirty especially at the feet. This table is gorgeous. I wanted a solid wood table top, not a veneer. It looks black in the photos, but in real life it's very dark with brown undertones in the stain. The effect is gorgeous, but definitely not black up close. I did have an issue with the hardware during assembly: needed to go out and purchase longer screws (4) and additional washers (12). This is the only time I've ever had an issue assembling an AllModern piece. Luckily it was only a $7 trip to the hardware store to fix so I didn't need to get Customer Service involved, but the assembly/hardware for this product needs to be reviewed.
