This is a beautiful, sleek and modern, mid century nightstand. But, it can be used anywhere, not only in the bedroom due to it's small size. Currently, it's being used as a plant holder. These night stands (I bought 2) are absolutely gorgeous! They are solid oak and each have their own beautiful characteristics and variations in the wood that make them unique. They are built very well and are strong and sturdy. Assembly was extremely easy - all you have to do is screw on the bottom legs. There’s are really good looking nightstands. I’m really impressed with the finish on them. The legs seem solid but the main body is veneer over particleboard and one already had a chip on a corner. Not a big deal. The only disappointment has to be the drawers. They are European style so there’s a huge three-quarter inch Overlap around the entire door. So even though the drawer door is almost 5 inches The actual usable space is only about 2 1/2. Just enough room to put a tube of Chapstick vertically. Completely unusable space unless you’re storing a few books or magazines. Additionally the drawers aren’t the full depth of the cabinet and only pull out about halfway leaving half the contents of the drawer hidden inside the cabinet forcing you to fish out any contents blind. It’s a real pitty because these are really handsome nightstands but I just need storage space more than decorations to hold lamps. There’s a ton of wasted space inside that box. They really should have maximize the drawer depth and height and used full length drawer glides. Maybe they will change the design in the future update.
