Surprisingly this dresser came fully put together. Unfortunuately it’s solid wood and extremely heavy to get upstairs. You do not need to buy the assembly service there will be no need for it. This is a really beautiful piece, truly a designer style and overall good quality. I love that there's a lip at the edge of the top around the entire perimeter so items cannot roll or be easily knocked off the dresser. I am using this as a baby changing table/dresser and it's perfect because the drawers are not too large, so if you're looking for big roomy drawers for storing jeans or sweatpants, these are not them. The top and bottom drawers are pull to open, but the center drawers rely on a push to open and push to shut mechanism that allows the drawers to sit flush and makes the design of the piece really sleek. However, the first piece arrived with a faulty mechanism on one of these drawers and the company offered me several options including replacement of the entire piece, which was expeditious. What is missing makes the mojo in this new wood case a good collection. A round cut out in the drawer and door front acts as the pull, the elimination of material creating the function and visual appeal. Designed in a slew of shapes to see to storage needs in the bedroom, living room, and dining room.
I love the style and that the only required assembly was to attach the legs. Unfortunately, I’m not sure this was worth the price. It’s definitely solid wood- it’s VERY heavy. It took three people to move it to the desired spot inside and that was without the drawers! (the drawers are easy to take out and add back in, there was be a paper pamphlet included in the box that explained how to do this). My biggest issues with this dresser are - Two of the drawers have small defects on their fronts and the back of the drawers are full of splinters (they’re not fully finished sanded down on the back edges). - One of the drawers is a bit crooked. It functions fine, but has an noticeable uneven gap in the spacing above it. I think this is due to one of the drawer tracks being installed slightly higher than the other. - Installing the legs should have been straightforward, but two of them didn’t line up. I figured out eventually that the brown plastic tack was added in the wrong spot and blocked the legs from being added in the correct spot. I was able to solve this by using a pair of pliers and pulling the brown plugs out (they’re basically giant push pins) and hammering them back in a few centimeters over.. Emily. Austin, TX. This is a chest that delivers lots of storage + clean lines to your bedroom. We especially love the distinctive wood grains and the recessed faces of the five soft-close drawers. Plus, a broad top leaves room for lamps and other accents. The wood frame comes in an invitingly warm finish to round out the design.
The nightstands came in 2 days and we were able to choose the delivery date for the chest and dresser. The quality and modern look is great, really enhances the coastal / modern look of our bedroom.
