Desk looks absolutely beautiful. Solid and sturdy. Putting it together wasn’t to hard . However some of the hardware and pre drilled holes where not aligning which was a pain in the you know what. Mounting it to the wall was a disaster! The hardware included to mount didn’t work. After drilling many holes in the wall and scratching the paint because it kept sliding, eventually we had to use our own hardware to mount. My advice, don’t use the hardware they provided for mounting. Use your own. One last tip: do not tighten the bolts of the shelves too hard, because the wood will end up cracking.. dana. Definitely NOT “acorn” colored. This is a dark cherry or mahogany red stained piece of furniture. I am extremely disappointed in how it looked in the photos and how NOT light brown it is. I think the manufacturer either sent me the wrong color or they significantly changed the stain without communicating it to All Modern. That being said, it is great quality, solid, and easy to put together. I won’t be returning because of the cost of the rerun since there was no damage due to shipping.
