While it's a very pretty piece, the marble arrived cracked down the center and chipped on the edge. Large item so big hassle in returning/getting replacement piece.

Just got it and assembled it today, so can’t speak to long term durability, but so far it’s great! It’s a darker blueish gray than in the picture, and definitely not plain gray like the description. The marble is beautiful and it was very well packed. Assembly took my husband about 30 mins, it’s fairly straightforward.

I really love this island for our small cottage kitchen. The base doesn’t exactly look gray to me sometimes it looks as though it could be blue, which is what I was going for. The only criticism I have is that the marble top shows seems on the sides where it has been pieced together, and that makes me a little skeptical about the longevity of the piece.
