This was a very high quality rug. Based on others' reviews, I expected a more muted rust color, which was correct. Thick, somewhat soft. Per others' comments, the instructions say to vaccum *without* the rolling brush, presumably on bare floor mode. All said, this did not look good in my space, so I returned it. It did not contrast with our medium-tone wood floor, and the pattern was almost dizzying. The dark stripes are ineed that - dark, inset color. I love the color and pattern of this rug. It looks much more luxe vibrant in person. The only gripe I have, and I really can’t complain given the price of this rug, is that it’s very very very thin and flimsy. Bc of the way it’s constructed, the backing feels hard to the touch and stiff. The rug pile is very low so that plus the texture of the backing hard like a stale tostada. To soften things, use a plush rug pad. This would look great as hall runners, living or bedroom. Actually any room if this is your style. I’m pleased but I also got this on sale for my son’s bedroom. I might feel differently if I paid full price. I also got a small doormat sized one for our kitchen sliding door. Looks great there too.
