I LOVE this rug! It’s surprisingly soft underfoot for a rug of this type. And its pile is low enough to allow another, smaller rug to be used on top without it being a tripping hazard. Crafted from a blend of traditional wool and jute backing, it does offer a soft touch while maintaining durability - holds up pretty well in high traffic area. What I particularly love is the timeless earthy tones. It complements well with any modern decor. While shedding is common with handmade wool rugs, I find that it does lessen over time. Admittedly, there are some initial lint that tended to get on clothes, but regular vacuuming (frequent in the beginning) at a low setting helps alleviate this issue. Overall, I highly recommend..
