I LOVE this rug! It’s surprisingly soft underfoot for a rug of this type. And its pile is low enough to allow another, smaller rug to be used on top without it being a tripping hazard. Some of the knots have become slightly loose with use, but it’s worth it for the versatility it allows. (You can buy smaller rugs on sale and they look OK when layered on top of this one.). Rebecca. The burnt orange color is so lovely and the slight southwest/geometric detail around the edges is interesting, not too much. Lots of people complain about the rug's shedding challenges, but HELLO, the rug is 100% wool! It sheds, peeps! Duh! If you want wool--and I DO want the natural fiber--shed happens! I use my beater mode on my vacuum to help lift the shed, and gradually there is less and less shed. The rug is holding up beautifully--it feels lush and cushy underfoot, the grands love doing yoga on it, or reading or wrestling around. It looks lush in our living room (and we have a runner too in our entryway). Additionally, we have the Blue Danette in our bedrooms and dining room. This hypnotic area rug showcases dusty sage and dark green lines that turn at right angles to create an optical illusion-like nested diamond motif. First of all, I love this rug! I have already gotten so many compliments on it. It's so unique and bold! However, I wouldn't recommend it if you have pets. The white parts get dirty very easily, regardless of how clean you are. Also, this rug is an absolute lint magnet AND sheds a ton when vacuuming (?).. the pics I attached are of my vacuum that was emptied prior to vacuuming it just once AND I had just vacuumed it the day before. You have to vacuum it a lot if you want it to stay looking nice. A statement piece without stealing the show, this area rug is the perfect finishing touch for your room. Handmade in India from 100% cotton with a low pile of .25”, this piece is best for lower traffic areas such as bedrooms or studies. For extra cushion and to prevent any slipping, snag a coordinating rug pad to layer underneath.
This rug is very thin and more of a woven quilt-like feel. We’re using this in a low traffic area where we typically don’t wear shoes — I’d recommend similar placement and definitely not for a high traffic area. It has a nice feel though, and we’re excited to have our comfy reading chair and bean bag arrive to make this into a reading nook where this rug will work great. TIP Definitely order a slip-free rug pad as it’s slippery on a wood floor without — running kids would definitely lose traction if this were a runner. Additionally, I’d recommend buying some peel and stick Velcro (the hook side) to adhere to the rug pad at the corners of the rug — that’ll help keep it from flipping up at the edges and becoming a trip hazard.
