This rug was great for our reading nook. We wanted a shag rug but weren't sure how the material would feel underfoot. It was perfect! Soft, but not slippery, and it doesn't have the synthetic feel that a lot of other shag rugs seem to have. There was no chemical smell (our finicky 4 year old was rolling about on it within two minutes of being laid out) and it came came well packaged.

It is more of a dark teal than a navy so I was pretty disappointed. It looks navy in the dark though. Other than that, it is very comfortable and good material.
