Unlike the other reviews, I don't think that this rug isn't soft at all. It feels like a standard wool rug and is fine under bare foot. The colors are amazing and it looks beautiful in the room. There are a few defects in the rug I was sent (all minor but still worth noting....) and the rug was 3 inches smaller in width (7 ft. 9 in. rather than 8 ft.) than advertised.
