Jason Wu Saguaro Rug

I’m so happy with my new rug! I was skeptical because the only reviews so far were from giveaway recipients, but I’m really glad I took the risk. It shipped SO FAST and laid nearly flat upon opening. The color is true to the photo and the quality is great.

I love the design of the rug but am still working on getting it to smooth out and lay flat. Also the black wool is more of a mohair type and holds onto lint. The green wool is much softer and woven very differently than the black. I still gave the rug 4 stars because I have faith it will smooth out, and that eventually the static will ease and release the lint.

Stunning!! The quality is so much higher than I was expecting, and the color is GORGEOUS. I love it more than I thought I would. Although it has "shed" quite a bit since I've installed it, so make sure you have your vacuum handy the first few days of use.

Absolutely fantastic rug. Brings my MCM-lite living room (with loads of plants) together seamlessly. The perfect statement that doesn’t scream at you - just commands your eye’s attention in the best way. Utilize the organic shapes to your advantage with a fun coffee table placement (maybe slightly off kilter, or directly on top of the larger shape), something stackable/nested would look awesome as well. As far as construction goes, this is a lower pile rug. It is not thin, but benefit from a rug pad if you like your area rugs cushy. I have two dogs (one puppy), the edge has already been chewed on with only minimal fraying - happy that it’s fairly sturdy. As with any new handmade wool rug, be aware that it does shed. I vacuum twice a day over it for a minute or two to help minimize the debris, but with time and wear it will subside. For reference, rug size is 5’x7’6”.
