Made in India, the yarn is locally dyed in the traditional vat dying method. Before the first wash, the back of each rug is mildly burnt with hand-held flame-emitting stoves. The rugs are given two rounds of rigorous washing, to provide the softest comfort underfoot. The finishing process includes hand shearing, with a unique and exaggerated one-sided tassel fringe. Each tassel is twisted and rolled by hand into bunches with a knot tied at each end, for a unique hand-crafted appeal.

Ordered this rug for my living room and it's PERFECT! So thick and cozy; it really pulls the room together. It's not a super high-traffic area, so no shedding yet (like other reviewers mentioned) - hoping it stays that way.

The colors were perfect and the design was exactly how I hoped. I expected a lower profile fabric but I am going to live with the “shag” look. It is soft on the feet. The delivery was excellent.

The rug is just as pictured, colors are spot on to whats shown online. It is VERY plush, long dense wool, hoping it flattens out a bit over time, when you look at it from the opposite way the wool is sewn in you do see some gaps.
