The modern design is unique, but not overwhelming even though it is a distinct composition . The carpet is not yellow, more golden with cream. It soft to the touch and there is a subtle height variation. The gold is slightly thicker than the cream, so the two colors are genuine, not painted on. I would recommend this rug.
