This is a nice Umbrella, it's not high end but the price fits the quality. We are using it on our balcony and will be ordering two completely different one's at a STORE for a table and outdoor area. This one came without tilting instructions, was a bit confusing but the crank needs to be cranked until it reaches the "small device" that is located towards the top, you stop and it begins to tilt. Basically don't open it up all the way for tilt to work. It works best with a heavy base.
