First of all, we bought two chairs (similar to this) a few years ago. Last year one of them broke when someone sat on it, which was disappointing because it was such an expensive chair. We were also disappointed there was no warranty for the price. Anyway, this spring I ordered this chair to replace the broken one. I ordered black so the two chairs could match as close as possible. We waited weeks for the chair, and when it finally arrived it was the wrong color. So we sent it back and asked for the color we ordered. We waited for weeks again. The chair finally arrived and it was the wrong color again. So we sent it back again. Now we are waiting for weeks again. I hope when it comes, it will be the right color. But it is also a drag that we ordered this in plenty of time to have it by our pool this summer and whenever we get it , the summer will be half over. I wouldn’t complain so much if the item wasn’t so pricey. I feel like- for this price, we should be able to expect a higher level of service. One of the most laughably terrible items I’ve ever purchased on the internet. I can’t say for sure it’s not “teak” but each of the 12 pieces it came in is either broken, cracked, misaligned or non-functioning. It is extremely light weight and fragile for “real wood”. Even if I could get it assembled, I’m fairly sure it would break under the weight of even a small child. Wayfair customer service has always been outstanding and I’ve left a message for my rep — this isn’t a commentary on them.
