But that is typical of teak. Will take some upkeep (again, typical of the wood) but I prefer wood to metal or plastic/resin. The chairs are pretty good. They almost perfectly match an existing patio set I have, which is what I was hoping for. They are fairly comfortable - as comfortable as a sling chair can be.
