Poor manufacturer assembly instructions. The website was light on important details. See pictures - remove plastic burrs from screw holes before assembly, align the hole to the metal brackets, be careful not to cross-thread. Ensure all section locking nuts are fully installed and twisted into position before full assembly, or you'll have to disassemble to place the locking wing nuts that hold the section to the rails back into place.
