Very sturdy. Takes extra effort to push the pole into the base (there is still a small gap after my best effort but it doesn’t bother me). I really like the tilt feature which prevents dust from accumulating on the tabletop when it is not in use.

We love these chairs! They’re so comfortable for everyone in the family. In yellow they’re quite fun as dining chairs at a very reasonable price. We liked them so much I’ve ordered even more!
