The light is generally as expected. It required a bit more assembly then anticipated as there were 4 sections of the lower pole to screw together. The only criticism that I have is that the light source is not set back into the head ... so the LED light "bulb" is very obviously seen, so it is a bit distracting within the room.. Kenneth. I placed this lamp next to a sofa table I use for eating and computer work. I only wish it were just a few inches shorter, as the LEDs will be visible for shorter people. It’s very tall and I’m still getting used to that, but fortunately the ceiling is quite high in that room. I have the taller of the two lights facing the high wall for the light to bounce off the wall. I was looking for a touch light which this has. And I like the simple design. This is a contemporary floor lamp that is well made and easy to assemble. As a task lamp, it lights a specific area well but does not (and is not meant to) light the whole room.
