Unfortunately the shade arrived with dents despite the great packaging it came in. It ruins the beauty and I'll probably have to return it. The package had all these well-designed, separate boxes that in theory should have kept everything really safe. What happened is I think someone dented it in while packaging it, which is too bad. Bad QC- putting something dented in a box that protects it, well it's already dented from handling. Beautiful lamps though, I got two. They're a really lovely design and it's too bad.. Anonymous. I love this little lamp. Sitting on a desk, though, it only offers a small amount of light even on the brightest setting. However, elevated on a shelf above the desk it illuminates the area enough to be useful as another light source. The middle three photos show the light on highmediumlow. The last photo shows how the top of the lamp can pivot, a feature I didn’t realize before I purchased the lamp. I knocked off a star because I would prefer the light to be brighter.. Dana.
