Mind the mess. Overall this lamp is ok. The color is less brass and more, off gold. The weight in the base moves, so it took awhile to get it to sit straight without a lean. It’s ok. The lamp is really nice, but unfortunately not quite the level of finish I was hoping for. The wood legs have sharp square edges, not the typical rounded smooth edges of mid-century modern lamps like this. Also, the shade sits a bit too high on the lamp, so if you're sitting on a couch or chair, you can see the mounting plate and hardware that the bulb attaches to. Nice light! Matte white finish and the shade has wavy texture to it. Throws light up (brightens our space) and down (reading). Was worried bc its on the short side for a flor lamp, but looks fine with our high ceilings. You screw the base together and not every joint lines up perfectly, but for the price, it’s something i easily overlook. Overall, a great lamp. Sleek, modern design that take up very little real estate - can be placed anywhere. Lamp shades look and feel a bit flimsy but overall a sturdy construction. The foot switch is pretty far from the base (can be good and bad) - if you need the switch closer to lamp, you would have to somehow hide a pile of cord (I just winded it up around the lamp base. Would be nice if it had space to tuck in extra cord). Fyi, each shade comes with a plastic cover. I almost threw them out thinking they were shipping covers.
