I'd give it 4.5 because the dimmer apparatus is rather clunky (it's a wheel you turn with your thumb that has more range of motion than the light itself, so too much turning to get it to the "off" position) but the overall look of the lamp is impressive. I got two for our bedside tables. I really wanted something dimmable for bedtime reading and these direct the light nicely. Looks better than I even hoped they would. As pictured - sleek and modern with good height and three brightness settings. The heads are directionally adjustable, so it can really light up a space well. It comes with bulbs affixed, though the recessed bulbs are covered by a white plastic guard, which is a little cheaper looking than the rest of the piece - it would look more elegant if it was frosted glass instead of white plastic. The Gabrielle lamp is inspired by the Art Deco period of the 1930's.
