Very happy with this lamp! The base is heavy and solid, and the shade sits on top of a welded cage easily. I wanted a ambiance light, I like the shade covers the bulb so it doesn’t blind you when you walk around it. The only thing I could pick on is that the cord is just straight, shiny plastic. I love this lamp! It really sets a nice mood and creates great mood lighting. It is weighted well and the base is a modern ceramic shape. The lamp shade is metal so it does not let any light through except through the bottom.
