The lights look great and we love them, however, there are a few things that aren’t visible in the stock photos I’ll point out that. First, they have a bit of a textured finish to them which you can’t really discern in the photos. It’s not bad, but unfortunately it doesn’t match the other fixtures in the bathroom that we have them in. Secondly, there are some white ‘bumpers’ to protect the glass globe sandwiched between the globe and the metal housing. Spanish alabaster from the quarry of Aragon has long been considered an ideal substance for sculpture. Used in religious statuary and by prosperous families of Renaissance Spain, the material is richly veined and pleasantly porous. Due to the amount of light it lets through, it was often used for windows. In this fixture, mount a slab of Spanish alabaster with thin metal clasps over an led lamp. As the light pours through it, it creates a beautiful effect.
