This pendant light excites the eye with its eddying and whirling folds, their twisting twirl a sensuous feat. Designed by Ray Power, this pendant light is an accomplished pendant, its form thoughtfully considered and sculptured. Powers' designs are typically based on geometry and his predilection for creating three-dimensional forms from flat materials (wood veneer). This pendant light is no exception, its precise contours are brought to life in stereo. With a soulful character and presence, the pendant light will vibe well with any interior. When light is striking from every angle, one might expect more than a hint of conceit. And yet pendant light is wholly modest, its beauty inspiring and up lighting. The pendant light was accorded a Special Mention by the German Design Council.

The pendant light uses the most minimal twist and turn of a ribbon of wood veneer to create an elegant, intertwined silhouette. The simplicity of the shade's design creates an airy appearance, while the overlapping wood grain texture confers a pleasant warmth and glow. The pendant light features a Natural timber wood veneer shade in a variety of colors and canopies.

Both modern and industrial, the angular lines of these aluminum spun shades refresh a classic concept in a clean, contemporary execution. The shades powder coated finish, feature multiple joints and peaks in their form and at their bottom intentionally return inward. The shape at the bottom is not only attractive, but a cleverly conceived method to support a wire network of black steel that forms a cage without visible hardware. The LED lamp provided shines light below and disperses through the wireway creating a beautiful radiating light pattern.
