Theses are gorgeous fixtures, we have 2 over half of a 10’ length of island, (the other half has a skylight over it). They provide more than enough light, spaced about 18” apart and suspended about 30” above a 36” high countertop. We have 100 watt equivalent LED lamps inside. The fixtures have a cap that is on the top, essentially covering about 20% of the globe, but the overall effect is a nice glow on the walls and ceiling, exactly what we were hoping for. This pendant is fabulous, and a great price. I looked at many similar styles and this one is of excellent quality; the material and weave is tight. As the bottom is open, I chose a large round bulb.
