I absolutely love this fan. I installed it with the 6" down rod on 8 foot ceilings and it looks great. We had some trouble wiring the switch because the junction box wasn't large enough to fit the switch but we got it to work eventually. Excellent for my 20+ ft ceiling of the living and sitting great room. Sleek look but super light as it’s plastic. Electrician had no problems for a quick install. Did come with 6” down rod so I had to purchase the 12 and 18 elsewhere to find the right fit, not much of an addl cost and easy to find in 1” diameter, swapped them out myself. LOVE the fan. Super sleek and quiet with nice airflow. I will say the installation was a bit more complicated than expected. The directions are generic for all fans, so you need to make adjustments if you don't have the light fixture option. Also, it was difficult to thread the wires and the pin through the down rod. Fan looks good and is very quiet which is nice but I'm a little concerned... We had electricians install it & they said there's no way to control the light/fan with a switch. You can install a switch, which we did, but it only remembers the last setting you had it on with the remote so it gets all out of sync, and we've been walking into a dark room until we can find the remote. We will probably install the remote holder by the light switch too. The electricians also said that when the fan motor dies, or when the light dies, there's no way to replace those parts, so we will need a whole new fixture. Gorgeous, lightweight but sturdy fan! It looks so good, is totally silent, and is powerful enough to cool the room quickly. We're really happy with it. The only downside is the built in LED light is super bright. Even dimmed (it's press-and-hold to dim, FYI. That's not on any of the directions) it's still a pretty harsh light source, in my opinion. We even Frankensteined a piece off the old lamp to add a layer inside this to help diffuse the light some, but it's still harsh. We'll probably just use it as a fan and other lamps on the room as a light source.
