One of the plugs for the light bulb came bent. The glass orb still fits over it if you put it on at an angle. It was the last orange one in stock so I guess I’ll just keep it. It does slightly affect the color of the light distribution within the larger glass orb. The photos are also off with the proportions of the lamp. I love the lamp, but I couldn’t give it more than 3 or 4 stars. The first issue is one I have frequently when ordering from this website. The styrofoam packaging they use disintegrates when you open it and goes everywhere. The second issue is that while this lamp is beautiful, it is top-heavy. Just the slightest nudge or bump is enough to send this lamp crashing. Upon further inspection, it won’t even sit flush to the ground because the globe is so heavy, it leans forward. We purchased one of these lamps for a whole-home design/build project for one of our clients, and while the lamp is beautiful, the cord etc is quite ugly. Whats not shown in the product photo is the large bulky dimmer thats located a few inches from the lamps base. Even though the dimmer is made from (somewhat) clear plastic, the beautiful colorful base is translucent, so you cant help but notice the large bulky dimmer being so close to it. A much better option would have been to use clear lamp cord, (not white) and a dimmer thats located just below the bulb, so it would out of sight. Both these features have been incorporated into many lamps over many years and they work well and are inexpensive. I plan to have my local lamp shop rewire this as I've described so we don't have to return it. I realize doing so would void the warranty, but its worth it imo.
