Great fan once it actually got up. We had a really difficult time affixing the fan base to the mounting plate. Took us about an hour to finally get it there. Partly due to a rounder-than-normal hook on the base, but also could be our older ceilings making it difficult. Very pleased with the final look, despite our struggles. We are very pleased with this rug, which we ordered in 10x14. It’s solidly made and very attractive. As other reviews state, it has moments of charcoal gray, not black. The pile height is fair — it’s not a luxurious feel, but it’s pleasant enough and by no means would I classify it as cheap. Reason for not giving a 5-star rating is because the light is extremely bright and it feels like it will induce a headache, so I will not be using the light feature very much.
