After looking at these lights for months, we went for it and have no regrets. They are the perfect fit to our kitchen and really ties the space together. They pair so well with smoked glass Edison bulbs. Just like another reviewer mentioned, the brushed silver bleeds over a little bit on the edges. Their are also slight warps/bulges in some areas. They look great with a modern design. We installed them over the peninsula in the kitchen and had to spray paint the inside of the cone white as others did because the gold did not work with our design. It was a struggle to get the cord to stay even somewhat straight. They are a stamp piece of metal making them very light and feel a bit cheap, but no one is touching them so they work great for us!. These pendants are a great addition for a small island countertop (7ft). They really elevated the aesthetic of the lights in our kitchen. You can use any A19 bulb, but we ended up using Edison bulbs to dim the lighting from the pendants. If you're a tall person, make sure you hang them at an ideal height, as the glass does not block all light and will hit your eye level and will not be pleasant -- part of the reason we chose to use Edison bulbs.. Be aware that if you don't have the pendant ready electrical, you will need to install a pendent conversion kit for recessed lighting, which requires a few tools and a capable hand.
