I love the light. It is exactly as I expected. My only complaint is that it does not work with a light switch. It has a 3-way brightness, touch-control. I assumed I could set it at one of the 3 brightness levels and then control it from a toggle switch on the wall but it is not compatible with a wall switch. The lamp is really nice, but unfortunately not quite the level of finish I was hoping for. The wood legs have sharp square edges, not the typical rounded smooth edges of mid-century modern lamps like this. Also, the shade sits a bit too high on the lamp, so if you're sitting on a couch or chair, you can see the mounting plate and hardware that the bulb attaches to. This floor lamp is a show stopper. It provides intimate lighting to a very specified area, the gold gives the light an ambient warmth. The base is a solid heavy stone, you don’t have to worry about the lamp tipping over whatsoever. I would have to say, putting it together, I recommend 2 persons. The arm is a bit awkward when attempting to align each portion making it difficult to manage solo, don’t do like I did. Lastly, the dimmer doesn’t exactly dim, at all. I made sure to buy dimmable light bulbs and made sure to try it on other lamps that did dim. Not sure if mine is a defect, one that I’m fine with because the light it gives off is so incredibly soft that dimming the light seems unnecessary. However, it is marketed as a dimming floor lamp.. Love the design cause it really goes well the mid centurymodernbauhaus look, but my item had some issues. Have to really make sure the screws are tight before standing up. Kinda tough because the tool provided wasn’t ideal, so at one point when I thought I attached the base it was turning a bit. I attempted again and it was stable.
