I love this lamp! It really sets a nice mood and creates great mood lighting. It is weighted well and the base is a modern ceramic shape. The lamp shade is metal so it does not let any light through except through the bottom. I love this little lamp. Sitting on a desk, though, it only offers a small amount of light even on the brightest setting. However, elevated on a shelf above the desk it illuminates the area enough to be useful as another light source. The middle three photos show the light on highmediumlow. The last photo shows how the top of the lamp can pivot, a feature I didn’t realize before I purchased the lamp. I knocked off a star because I would prefer the light to be brighter.. Dana.
