Heavy, well made and worth the price. Setting up a new, modern home office in Black and gold, so this was a great fit.

This is a truly bespoke piece of furniture. The design is elegant, the materials are top-notch, and it serves the intended ourpose perfectly. It is a wonderful addition to our carefully curated interior design. And the price is very competitive. I'll definitely be shopping ALLMODERN for our future furnishings needs.

The design is great, and it’s a fantastic reading lamp. It also seems well-built. I’m dinging it a star for two reasons. First, the packaging this comes in is insidious. It’s one large slab of some sort of extremely fragile styrofoam. Upon opening the box I was showered in cloud of tiny, staticky styrofoam pellets. They stuck to my clothes, my couch, my walls and windows; even my dog. And getting the lamp unpacked, assembled, and the styrofoam monolith broken down to fit in a garbage bin will make a far larger mess. This is seriously the worst packaging of any item I’ve ever ordered online, at best a major mess and at worst a downright health risk to pets. Second, the shade is just a bit too small to conceal a Hue White Ambiance 1600 bulb (A21, 100-watt equivalent). It’ll fit and work, but is blindingly bright, peaking out below the bottom edge of the shade. I had to use the smaller (A19, 60-watt equivalent). It’s also worth noting that the pack-in wrench doesn’t really fit the space the nut goes into. You’ll want a socket wrench or pair of pliers available. And the ugly warning label is stuck somewhere obvious and leaves a nasty, sticky residue if you remove it. . . . and you’ll also want a vacuum cleaner on standby. And some jumbo trash bags. I really cannot overstate what a mess this packaging makes.
