This is a contemporary floor lamp that is well made and easy to assemble. As a task lamp, it lights a specific area well but does not (and is not meant to) light the whole room. The switch consists of a touch sensitive slider along the stem: slide up and you get light, slide down and you dim or turn off the lamp. It suited our project perfectly.

A handsome practical lamp that demands no attention, nor inhibits views, but when focused on pleases your aesthetic sense. I have wanted this lamp for years, liked the price and enjoyed swift deliver. Thanks.

I mean maybe 2 stars is a bit unfair but I don't like my home feeling like an office. It's a matter of taste. Nice to look at but in the end a bad fit. Pros: well made Cons: poor light
