Chester Metal Desk Lamp

It is as described, but the finer details didn’t meet my needs. The base is heavy but big around, so it takes up quite a bit of space. The lamp shade is too big for my desk space. The arm is adjustable but takes a little effort to loosen the bolt, adjust and retighten. It looks nice, just not a fit for me.

This lamp is bigger than expected so I was unable to use it where originally planned, but it found it’s home on my larger sized desk and it works perfectly!

Unfortunately, the lamp that I received had clearly been opened before, and the packaging was a complete mess. Rather than fully unwrapping it and attempting to assemble it to see if the lamp was in usable condition, I opted to simply return it because of AllModern's strict policy against returning assembled items. For some reason, AllModern issued a refund but didn't request the lamp back. After waiting a couple of weeks to see whether they would provide me with a return shipping label, I decided to assemble it after all. Now that it's assembled, it's a beautiful lamp. It definitely wouldn't have worked for it's intended purpose as a bedside lamp as it's way too large for my nightstands. While the measurements in the description are accurate, the lamp appears much smaller in the photos on AllModern's website than it does in person, so keep that in mind if you're considering purchasing this lamp. But other than that, it's really a pretty sweet lamp!
