It doesn't work for me. My hall is rather small for this giant glass piece. This requires more space in the hall than I have. The glass is huge, my hall is very tight. I didn't realize this thing was so huge. It works for someone that has more of an open area to put it in because I'm telling you the glass is huge. Was packed very, very well w/no damage but it's just too large for my hallway. I'm having a rough time finding light fixtures. I don't want to buy bulbs, they're too hard to find now days. I was hoping this would work but so much for that idea! My house is only 1600 sf so a lot of tighter spaces than this can accommodate. Nice looking light. You have to arrange the arms to fit within slots in the cap that goes on the bottom, which was more difficult to line up than you'd expect. But it's a good, solid fixture and providers a lot of light, which is what we needed. We wanted to use globe shaped bulbs to match the vanity fixture, and candelabra bases work in this fixture..
