Definitely larger than I imagined - in a good way! Duh, it says 8", but I just imagined it as the standard small size. Bottom line... pleasant surprise and I love it! Have not installed yet, and I imagine I'll need one of those dipped-style bulbs so the light isn't in your eye. Color and quality are lovely.
