Attractive - love the look. The larger size fits a Irish butter stick. The dish it totally flat - a little lip would help the butter to stay in place better. When it's cold it stays in place, but if you put out onbtable to offer room temp for serving, the butter slides. It's still attractive and works fine when cold, so will keep.. Paula. Portland, OR.
