I recently purchased these bowls and they are made of plastic. The plastic is decent quality — not super thin or flimsy, but not extremely durable either. They feel sturdy enough for regular use and hold food without bending too much. However, for the price, I expected slightly better quality. They’re not bad, just not amazing for what they cost. Beginning at extremely high heat, this porcelain is fused onto the steel base, making it safe for the oven and all heat sources. From there, the items are hand-dipped multiple times to build a porcelain base cover and top coat that can withstand any heat source, including open flame.
