These dishes came well packaged, although with a different name/description on the box which made it confusing. They are basic white dishes that I purchased because they are porcelain. Nothing flashy. The pasta "bowls" are quite shallow, and are more like a plate with a slightly deeper bevel. If you're looking for a basic dish at an affordable price, these will be good for you..
